I grow my lucky bamboo in a clear glass vase with a marine sand substrate and about 70 percent of the plant is underwater.

If I were testing it for toxins, a little piece of the bamboo against my tongue tip would taste bitter and awful if it was poison. 😁 Even if it had a strong, yuck taste, it would probably not kill anybody, let alone panda bears.
